Application of fiber laser

The advantages of fiber laser come from excellent beam quality under high power output, excellent electro-optic efficiency under high beam quality, small volume, mobility and flexibility under high power and high beam quality. So it has been widely used.
Different applications require different beam quality.
Low power fiber laser (< 50W), mainly used in micro production processing, laser marking, resistance adjustment, precision drilling, inkjet, metal carving, etc; Medium power fiber laser (> 50W, < 500W) is mainly used for cutting, drilling, welding and surface treatment of thin metal plate. High power fiber laser (> 1000W) is mainly used in thick metal plate cutting, special plate three-dimensional production processing, metal surface cladding and so on.
Nowadays, fiber lasers can replace most of the original solid (crystal) and gas (CO2) lasers, and have been widely used in laser processing, 3D printing, laser cleaning and laser medical treatment. At present, the main direction of our research and development of fiber laser is to further improve the output power, including the need to solve the thermal effect of high-power CW laser, improve the beam quality and linewidth control technology of fiber laser, etc. The output power of laser beam can be increased to tens of thousands of Watts by using high power fiber laser multi beam combination technology.
